I am a relatively new gardener in northern Alberta and I rely on Lois Hole's books for good advice. I have a number of her other books and Vegetable Favourites does not disappoint. From the list of varieties, spacing and especially how much to plant, I find answers to most of my questions. She has also included some tasty ideas for cooking with the vegetables. I have found no other source with such good information, specific to my area.
