I bought this video for my 2-year-old son who is already an avid classical music lover. I always saw Wynton Marsalis as a jazz performer, but his classical trumpeting skills are just excellent. If he isn't the best trumpet player of the 20th century, he is in the top five. My son absolutely adores this concert, and I think it's great. I would recommend this video to classical music lovers as well as Wynton Marsalis fans.

Wynton Marsalis, an award winning jazz and classical trumpeter, definately shows off his astounding techical skills in this 46 minute long concert. The pieces played in this video are, in order: Joseph Haydn's trumpet concerto in Eb major, Leopold Mozart's Trumpet Concerto in D major, and Johann Hummel's trumpet concerto in E major. Wynton is undoubtably in my mind the best trumpet player of the 19th and 20th century, and this is shown throughout the video, but especially in the final movement of the famous Hummel concerto.
