This book is a great teaser. Anytime we go anywhere, we always get the Lonely Planet book before or during the trip. They are absolute necessities in order to find those places you would never ever find on your own. OK maybe you owuld find them but not us. This book is more of an overview. We use it for ideas for planning future trips and to decide which LP destination books we absolutely need to order immediately.

I gave this as a Christmas gift to someone who enjoys traveling the globe. Her next jaunt is to Egypt, so this book was well received. It's a good basic book to inspire your next trip and it's fun to read, but some may prefer an additional detailed travel guide once you choose your destination.
