Format: Paperback
This is a wonderful book. I own Knifty Knitters, and I cannot do all the projects in the book with them (some require finer gauge looms, that was a bit of a disappointment), but the step-by-step instructions to learn stitches and practice them are great. The child's mock cable hat is HOT and can be adapted easily to fit adults on the largest KK loom (even better looking when knit as a beanie hat!).

Most patterns are very simple, rather uninteresting, but there are great socks, leg warmers, a baby sweater, a kid poncho, a 'ruana' (sweater/shawl for adults!), and even a felted yoga bag, handbag, laptop cozy and slippers that you can make with circle or long KK looms.

Perfect book to start using your looms, and is a great creativity kick start if you want to make you own patterns!

I purchased both of Isela's books LOOM KNITTING PRIMER and KNITTING ON A LOOM at the same time (recommended on Amazon). Be aware the covers of the books are different but THESE TWO BOOKS ARE IDENTICAL ON THE INSIDE - PAGE FOR PAGE. (One published in 2007 and the other in 2008 - the only thing different on the inside.) So buy only one and enjoy. She is an excellent teacher - very clear and concise.

Terrible. If you know nothing about knitting, looms, or how to do anything crafty in general, do not buy this book. This book does not offer enough explanation or photos for clods like me who have never knitted anything in their life. I recommend you check out the tutorials on YouTube for free. The people making these tutorials give you lots of detail and pointers. I would imagine that once one is comfortable and competent with the basics, this book might do some good, but the titles says "A Beginner's Guide". I'm a beginner and I was lost, lost, lost.

The book does not have enough photos or clear explanations how to actually knit a scarf or anything else and especially for someone who has NEVER loomed or knitted before. The book supposed to be also new but I received USED book. Not happy.
