Some of the Best Classic-Style Speed Metal Being Produced Today Feb. 9 2014

If you're into the New Wave of Traditional Heavy Metal (NWOTHM), then you don't want to miss out on Steelwing. This album is 9 killer tracks that will remind you why there are still bands out there playing the best musical style ever known to man. This album just gets better every time I listen to it. If you've already heard Enforcer and love them, then Steelwing is the next band you need to set your sights on. Check it out and you won't be sorry.

When I heard the first, instrumental opening track I knew I made a good buy. The awesome guitar riffs and solos that make metal so kickass are there of course, but the powerful, Bruce Dickinson-esque vocals are what make this band rise above the pack. Give the clips a listen. If you like what you hear, you won't be disappointed with this album. \m/
Good attempt at Classic Iron Maiden July 22 2011
By N. Jurkowski - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
When you start listening to this, you'll notice the Maiden-like guitar riffs right away. The intro track makes an excellent lead into 'Headhunter.' 'Roadkill' is their initial release and is what got my attention to this band. 'Sentinental Hill' has a memerable guitar riffs that makes is stand out as well. Tracks 1-4: 5 STARS

Tracks 5+: O.K., here's where the album becomes more monotonous. Don't get me wrong, the Classic Maiden guitars and change-offs are very well done here. It's the vocals, especially, that makes all of these tracks seems like one long song, broken up into pieces. With a quick listen (or just listening to one of these songs), it would be awesome to hear cranking on the radio. But, all together, boredom slowly sets in. 3 STARS

If you're not burned out on classic Maiden, you'll probably dig all of these tracks. But, being a big Iron Maiden fan myself, I have heard it all thousands of times over.
