1.0 out of 5 stars ...and if you're not a skater..., Feb 21 2010
...you will loathe every single minute. This movie is so unwatchably awful, that even brilliant actors like Hirsch and Ledger can't salvage it. Of course, from a director like Hardwicke, what would you expect? She basically just awkwardly re-creates the documentary through dramatization, with her typical knack for poor pacing and shot composition. I would even think that the misguided fans of her Twilight adaptation would be hard-pressed to show equal enthusiasm for this film. The skating is impressive, but if that's what you want to see, watch the documentary, which was infinitely better, and both interesting and entertaining for skaters and non-skaters alike.

This awsome movie explains how Skateboarding came to be with legend such as Tony Alta and Stacy Peralta who defined and invented the style of skateboarding and the era that followed.
I just finished watching that and the stuff the actors pulled off on the boards (surf AND skate) was awsome.
Through the ups and downs, the pain of death and the thrill of life, these guys created a generation...
