I just got home home from holidays to an Amazon delivery of the LOST complete series BluRay collection. Wow. From the initial images I had seen online I was expecting much of this set to be cheaply made trinkets, but that is not the case. This is a very solid gift set. The box weighs a ton, and is made from very thick, very sturdy material. There is some nice texturing throughout the packaging, especially along the outside of the box. The lid turns over and has an island map on the back. Even the small bonus items feel tough and well-built.

The complete set includes: Six individual season cases inside one larger disc box featuring 36 discs spanning each season as well as bonus features, a copy of a page of the journal of one of the Black Rock crew members, an ankh that opens to reveal a secret message, a complete senet game (tokens, white rocks, black rocks, and game board), a dharma blacklight keychain, episode guide book, and a larger box to contain the entire set with a removable lid and magnetic compartments to hold the set's smaller items. What it doesn't have, as far as I can tell, is a list of the bonus features anywhere, which may make locating The New Man in Charge a bit of a task.

Two thoughts. The "secret messege" inside the ankh appears to be a sort of "Konami code" to find some sort of easter egg using the remote control. I'll have to do more investigating to try to figure out which disc it is on, and how to access it. Also, the included mini blacklight would (based on the content of the show itself) suggest some invisible messages somewhere in the set as well. I poked around with it for a minute (mostly on the journal letter) but so far haven't been able to find anything.

I received my collection today and couldn't have been more excited to open it and discover the contents inside! I already have purchased each season as it became available but after rewatching it so many times my dvd's have started to get the odd scratch and such so I decided to purchase the blu-ray edition/collection (and yes it does look better on bluray!). The scenes are much richer and well what can I say I'm lost without Lost! I wish it could have gone on forever. Each disc is labeled similarly to the original season discs and the collector goodies that come with the kits are very neat, the collector Senet game is very nice(now I just need to learn how to play I will learn!) It also comes with a message from "Jacob", but I won't ruin it for all- buy it yourself and you will see it is worth the money invested. I will have it to rewatch many times in the future and the 3 hours of bonus features show how much time was invested in the show for all of us fans- so Thank you Damon and Carlton for 6 wonderful seasons of my favorite show LOST!

Whether you loved or hated it.. LOST was a show for the masses. It IS one of the greatest narrative stories that I've ever experienced.
I let myself get completely taken in by LOST and all its mysteries.
Yes there are MANY questions I have, many mysteries yet to be revealed. People need to realize 2 things:

1) LOST is a character DRIVEN show. It would not have successfully run 6 seasons on "mystery" alone. Therefore it is only fitting they end the show piecing together all the CHARACTERS and where they end up. The mysteries of the island are left to be discussed, and to be researched by the viewer if they want to find out more.

2) This is a REVIEW OF THE LOST COMPLETE COLLECTION. Don't taint this items integrity by making this a place to post your opinion of the ending.

The previous user's rating was based on their OPINION of the show alone, not the item. Safe to say he is an idiot. Not onto the item.

This 36 disc Blu Ray collection is one for the ages. Packed with over 18 hours of extra content (which I am SURE will shed light on more of the islands mysteries) as well as all of the episodes.
If anyone is a avid lover of LOST like I am, all the extra items in this collection are exciting. An island replica, an Ankh (the cross type object from ancient Egyptian times), which will surely be hung in my car, as well as a real Senet game that Jacob and the Smoke Monster played.

I'm surely going to pre order this as it is packed with extras and goodies that any LOST fan can appreciate.

This is a wonderful set and a fitting tribute to, possibly, the greatest tv series ever. First, the packaging is beautifully crafted and evocative of the character of the show. The mementos included are fun, well made and well chosen. And the overall shape and colouring of the box and contents is very classy, richly done and appropriate. And, of course, the extra "extras" disc being hidden beneath the relief map is a fun, typically "LOST" touch.
But it is the content of all the discs that is of supreme value to all "Losties" and there is plenty of that. I had the first 5 seasons in various packages already and had been planning to just buy the 6th, but the advertisement for the complete series in that attractive packaging lured me in and I gave my old 5 seasons away to my brother (whom I got hooked last year by showing them all to him before season 6 began). He's happy. I'm ecstatic.
The 5 seasons in the big box set are pretty much the same as my previous ones, although there is an anomaly. Season 3 in my big box set has no "season play" feature. All the others: 1, 2, 4, 5, & 6, do. But, for some odd reason, not season 3. No big deal as I have no problem remembering where I left off when I watch them. But, maybe, as I get even older, I'll rely on that feature more.
I recommend the set for both value (so far, still cheaper than buying the seasons separately) and as a collector's item. And, of course, if you're a real fan, how CAN you resist?
