Product Description

A story of a Kurdish child's survival in the land of chemical experiments. With her story, she walks the reader through her worst nightmares that peace is becoming impossible. She reveals that she has a powerful love affair which according to Iraqi culture must remain unspoken. She devotes her life to bring stability and freedom to her land. Also to protect the borders of America from terrorist attack by attempting to bring a secret document to the nations of the West. Her story inspires the reader with her courage and determination to never give up.

This story is to undo the doubt of much of the world about what is really happening in Iraq. To prevent the young men of Iraq from following blindly the dictates of those who would keep Iraqis in chains.

5.0 out of 5 stars We should all read this book, for our edification and as a reminder to count our freedom as a gift!, Sep 26 2010
This review is from: Lost In The Sand (Paperback)
This book is an amazing TRUE story about a Kurdish woman's journey to help her people. The suffering Najat (the main character) and the Iraqi people endured is beyond our western world comprehension! It is so good for our edification, that we wouldn't remain ignorant about Saddam Hussein and the Ba'ath Regime's horror and their plan to "take over the world". As a reader you come to know Najat, her family and friends intimately. Also, their every day struggles and feats in Iraq and their attempts to escape the horror they were born into. It made me so thankful to be born and raised in North America...to realize what a true blessings freedom has been and is! Truly an amazing story that I recommend for any Adult.

This book so relevant to the challenges of our times, catches your interest with its character developoment and gets very hard to put down in chapters 9,10 and 11 as Najat begins her "new life" Find out for yourself and give it a read. I met the author and have an autographed copy and I am happy I have it in my collection. Try Lost in the Sand. You will enjoy it. ncb

The amazing true story of an Iraqi-Kurdish woman's life and the extremes she faces to help her people. Read for your edification on world events, the horrors of genocide and human suffering. You will come to know Najat (the main character) intimately, along with her friends and family and their daily struggles and suffering. Their suffering is more that we can comprehend in the western world! It will answer many questions you may have about the Iraq people, war, Saddam Hussein and Ba'ath regime. But it's so much more than a "history book." I compel any adult to read this book.
