Review
'An extraordinary feat of imagination ... a sensuous, often farcical and ultimately optimistic argument for spiritual sanity.' -- Time Out
Product Description
Set in a fictional, struggling South American country where passion, cruelty and magic are interwoven into the landscape, Louis de Bernieres' first three novels represent an extraordinary feat of imagination. Populated by a cast of guerillas, giant jaguars, improbable heroes, and reformed - and unreformed - whores, these three interconnected tales of love, and courage and violence, are told with the same wit and energy that colour "Captain Corelli's Mandolin".
