Bob Goff has been someone i always wanted to hear more from. i was first introduced to him through incredible stories passed along by Donald Miller. from hangouts at his getaway place in BC, to hosting a neighborhood parade just because that started small and has now turned into a yearly event, i figured this was one of those people who you’d love to just sit and listen to his stories. luckily, he wrote “Love Does”, which is jam packed with incredible stories that make me want to live a better life. The theme of the book is that love moves beyond thoughts and feelings into actions. he beautifully shares what it looks like to live a life filled with love and adventure. each chapter is packed with valuable insight. highly recommend this book for anyone who wants a book that is easy to read, but also challenges you to live life more fully. 5/5 on the blair-o-meter.

This is an amazing book to read. Bob's life is one that is not only enjoyable to enter into, the writing style of this book allows you to live it with him, with laughter and joy. There are many refreshing chapters that help the reader to think through what life is all about and are encouraging to the reader to relax, try new things that are out of the box and live a full life.

The books huge strength is in its easy readability, and in its ability to help the reader to "discover a secretly incredible life in an ordinary world"

It is not written to be a theologically sound book, and at times Bob criticizes others (usually in conservative circles) and their motives in what I would term unfair ways.

That being said, it was fun to read, and helped me consider how I can live more fully, and love more openly.

If you are itching to look at life differently and want to jump out of your comfortable existence take the time to read and enjoy Love Does, as Bob masterfully engages you to expect the unexpected, plan life with purpose and never give up on your dream to inspire change. What a wonderful weekend read!

Discover a Secretly Incredible Life In An Ordinary World....this describes the new book released by Thomas Nelson wonderfully! This book inspires me and challenges me to live life at the next level. Reading Mr. Goff's new novel, Love Does changes you. With the wonderful stories, the amusing life lessons and the wisdom of a man that has lived life with passion and purpose, Love Does brought tears to my eyes and laughter to my lips.

I particularly enjoy the way the Mr. Goff tells a story, it seems as if you are sitting at the campfire hearing a tale of the latest adventure. It is always enjoyable when the story jumps to life as his tale of eating ice cream with foreign diplomats, or the tale of his Jeep accident...or college days...

This Book was given to me as part of the Thomas Nelson Blogger program. I am under no obligation to provide a positive review. It is my pleasure in this case to give this book 5 stars!! Well Done Bob Goff, and if you are in the neighborhood bring your family for ice cream!

I just got all caught up in Bob Goff's book "Love Does". I first heard of Bob Goff in Donald Miller's "A Million Miles in a Thousand Years", so I was immediately interested in reading his book based solely on that, but then the title "Love Does" piqued my curiosity even further.

If you've never heard of Bob Goff, he's kind of known for living for God in a creative, whimsical, inspiring way and this book "Love Does" is a collection of essays written about lessons Bob has learned about God in his life. "Love Does" had me smiling, laughing, and wanting to serve God with intensity and whimsy too.

If you like Donald Miller's style then I think you will love "Love Does" by Bob Goff.

''Love Does' has had a lot of hype over the last couple weeks. I was excited to have a copy in my own hands and see if this book was as good as the promises.

The Author has led and interesting life, and this book is a result. After opening the first page, I could not put the book down. I could easily see why Goff's friends encouraged him to write a book, he does have a lot to say.

This isn't another Christian self help book. It is a story, a story of what happens when one person decides to follow their heart and live out their love. It is a pageturner. I sat down and read the book over two days. That doesn't happen often. From the first chapter I was hooked.

Goff has led an interesting life, as the back cover states:

"As a college student he spent 16 days in the Pacific Ocean with five guys and a crate of canned meat. As a father he took his kids on a world tour to eat ice cream with heads of state. He made friends in Uganda, and they liked him so much he became the Ugandan consul. He pursued his wife for three years before she agreed to date him. His grades werent good enough to get into law school, so he sat on a bench outside the Deans office for seven days until they finally let him enroll.

Bob Goff has become something of a legend, and his friends consider him the worlds best-kept secret. Those same friends have long insisted he write a book. What follows are paradigm shifts, musings, and stories from one of the worlds most delightfully engaging and winsome people. What fuels his impact? Love. But its not the kind of love that stops at thoughts and feelings. Bobs love takes action. Bob believes Love Does.

When Love Does, life gets interesting.
