I Love Lucy: The Complete Series

Oh dear, the antics Lucy gets herself into is a treasure. There will never be another like her. I was pleased to find when it arrived, the package was well made. and all the dvds were intact and I have begun to watch. It brings wonderful memories. I do not as a whole watch much of television these days. nothing on. But all the dvds I have purchased here are my solace, and they bring back joy to my life. If anyone is looking for I Love Lucy,buy this package. Laughter is the best medecine.

This "I Love Lucy: The Complete Series Boxed Set" is just wonderful. I received this for Christmas from my family and I then bought it for my best friend. We loved calling each other to watch the same show at the same time.

This set has so much going for it: every episode including 'The Lucy and Desi comedy hour', the lost pilot, the rarely seen Christmas show, their 1954 Emmy Award wins, a colorized version of an episode, and much more! I really liked the color episode guide that comes with this as it gives thorough show explanations in chronological order. In regards to DVD quality the episodes are amazingly crystal clear with sharp crispness. About the packaging the heart shaped box is very nice and the DVDs all inside are listed by season.

There are so many favorite episodes but a few that stand out for me are "Job Switching" aka Chocolate Factory, "Lucy and Ethel buy the Same Dress" which has the famous 'friendship song', and "L.A. At Last". The scene when Lucy, Ethel and Fred were in a famous Hollywood restaurant star watching is an absolute riot!

This show stars Lucille Ball, Desi Arnaz, Vivian Vance and William Frawley. They truly will always be an amazing cast. The best friendship of Lucy and Ethel is my all time favorite, the trouble they got into all the time is classic best friend mischief.

On a side note my children even laugh at the antics of this show, which proves it's timeless! A great 5 star purchase. I always prefer to buy the complete series set of any show so getting this for Christmas was a top notch gift. Truly we all love the gang from Lucy now and forever!

This is one of the funniest shows that was ever on television. Even though it aired in the 50's it is still every bit as funny today. I have introduced this show to many friends who have become 'hooked' and even my 9 year old niece and 6 year old nephew love "that crazy red-haired lady". The packaging is great (although I chose to take mine out and put all the discs in a bough dvd case). The book summarizing each episode is awesome when you are wanting to find the perfect episode. Even if you've never watched Lucy it is a sure bet that you will love her and the Mertz's after only a few episodes!!
