I probably have a hundred cookbooks... it's an addiction. Most of them have beautiful pictures and look great on the shelf but rarely do I actually use them to prepare meals. However, since I received this book two weeks ago, it has not made it to the shelf. I have been making soup! Really amazing, healthy and delicious soup! I have now started buying copies to give to friends and family... I cannot recommend this book enough. Buy it.

I adore this cookbook. I'm an avid soup lover so that helps, but even so, it is well-written, engaging and has great recipes. I've made several so far and am looking forward to trying more. It's organized by seasons so you can use the freshest ingredients possible. There are bonus sections, including salads, sides, and deserts, which are also great. Anna Thomas has written it using a very personal style, which inspires me to make more and more soup and get creative.

All-in-all, a fantastic cookbook, probably my favourite.

This is a really great recipe book; it's organised in such a clever way with the soups by season and also by things like 'big pot soups'. We made one recently with swiss chard, sweet potatoes and sage and I honestly think it's the best soup I've ever made; rave reviews from everyone.

The nicest part of the book though are all the comments and explanations she's included about different ingredients and ways to shop. If you live in the US it'll be extra-helpful because you might have access to the kind of markets she's describing, with lots of local produce and that Mexican influence we don't have as much up here in Canada. Her writing is personable and appealing, and I spent hours when I received this at Christmas just perusing the book and smiling at all the possibilities - it makes for a charming read as well as a great source of recipes.

A fantastic book to create delicious meals with few ingredients. Most recipes are vegan. I love the green soups, the black bean soups and split pea soups. It is divided in seasons so for now I've only dug into the fall and winter recipes! Deliciously healthy!
