In 1968, Michael McCarthy travels from Newfoundland to Ireland, to explore the Burren, a rich geological wonder. The scenery was beautifully filmed. The storyline is amazing, having two people from two different worlds fall in love. There love scene was made pure and simple not like the way hollywood does. The film has a lot of deep emotion. I'd have to say that this movie is one of the best love stories i've seen in awhile.

I was on a flight and just selected Canadian films towards the end of the flight. I did not get to see the entire film and this was frustrating. I really enjoyed what I saw so on the return flight, this was the first film I selected. I was not disappointed. The story line is so real annd beautifully told. No fairy-tale ending, just life unfolding as it usually does for the majority of people. A great film!

This movie turned out to be all I expected and more. Beautiful scenery of Ireland and a realistic story line that turns out anything but predictable.
