4.0 out of 5 stars A very complete love story with intrigue and resolution, Jun 2 2000
This review is from: Loves Celebration (Paperback)
In reading this book, I was very pleased with the way the story kept my interest. Like most people, I enjoy romance novels because they have a way of transporting you to another place, time era ect. That's the main reason I especially enjoyed this reading by Monica Jackson. To me, this was a very good book and I would recommend to everyone.

2.0 out of 5 stars The history of Kwanza was good; the storyline BAD!, Oct 3 1999
This review is from: Loves Celebration (Paperback)
OK! Let's sum this book up. Happily married couple. Husband abandons family. Husband returns two years later with stories of espionage and secret undercover government conspiracies. Wife shoots husband. Family forgives husband. Town rallies around husband to prevent the bad guys from getting him. Husband & wife go on the run to clear name. Wife saves husband. Family lives happily ever after.

Give me a break! This book was really fictitious. I could not beleive half of the things the characters were saying or their actions. I appreciate the lessons of Kwanza and giving me an understanding of how to incorporate this holiday into my own family but I think more time should have been put in character development than the push to get us all to celebrate Kwanza.

5.0 out of 5 stars A celebration of love and life, Sep 19 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Loves Celebration (Paperback)
This book begans with a happy family: Teddi, who is not such a beauty on the outside but very beautiful on the inside is abandoned by J.T., a very handsome husband who has secrets that will tear their family apart but will also bring them back together in a stronger bond. The book is very insightful on the meanings and traditions of kwanzna and there are very good recipes in the back of the book. I would recommend it for the holidays.
