I am a university student in child studies and found this book absolutly amazing! The story of Hanna "Lovey" and how she copes and overcomes her disadvantages. I would recommend this book to anyone interested in children or just looking for a heart warming book.

I am a high school student, and I found this book extremely readable and inspirational. The book is about a teacher (the author) and how she helped an emotionally disturbed girl find her way out of her shell. I read all her books and loved them. I'm hoping that she'll write another one!

I bought this book because I had read it as a teenager in High School. I have always wanted a copy of my own. I recommend this book to anyone who is interested in Child Psychology, Early Childhood Ed, Teaching, Counseling young children, pediatrics, or anything else in the field of taking care of children.

I have read this book several times. I love the interaction between the little girl and teacher. The teacher brings out the best in, not only the child but the family. It is a must read for anyone wanting to be a teacher.

I've had this book for ages. I rarely read literature anymore - just books of study. But I still take it in hand every now and then, and I tear up nearly every time.
I love this book! July 10 2008

This book is an inspiration...esp. if you are dealing with very difficult children. Mary McCracken is the first to admit she isn't perfect, but she did a FABULOUS job with her children!!! She changed their lives.
