Works awesome for Jack Russell terrier. Perfect size and look good in the kitchen too. Rubber ring removes easily for cleaning. I use with a nice waterhog placemat from LL Bean and they look nice and tidy and the mat soaks up and contains any splashes.

They are attractive, good quality, and easy to clean. The actual sage/artichoke colour is darker than what appears in the image.

I have 4 small dogs so I bought 4 in all colors, they're very attractive and its so much easier to handle these than the heavy ceramic kind I'd been using. They're durable and stack inside each other, maybe the last bowels I buy.

Beware! Not advertised capacity Nov. 8 2013

This bowl is described as 1 quart. When I recieved it, the shape of the bowl kept me from noticing how small it actually was. It is a wide, shallow bowl. The bowl was pretty, so I removed the labels and disposed of the packaging. My dog eats 1/2 can (12.6 oz can) of dog food, mixed with a little water. One quart would have given me room for her wet food, plus extra water, with plenty of room for mixing. This bowl was so small, it was hard to mix the food. My little 36 lb.Border Collie is "dainty' in her eating habits. I could tell that she had trouble with this bowl because it's so shallow, the food is hard to keep in the bowl. It goes over the edge. I filled this "bella bowl" with water to measure the capacity. It holds 3 cups of water, if filled to the rim. One quart is 4 cups. I wanted something pretty, ordered 2 of these, and now I'm out $10.00, since I can't return them after removing all the labels. The stainless steel is thin. There is an air space between the plastic outer shell and the interior stainless steel liner. The plastic shell is attached under the top rim of the bowl. It appears seamless, so it was done very well, at least initially. Very light weight. The non-skid gasket that is set into a recess in the bottom of the bowl, did't work for me. The one time my dog ate from this bowl, it slid to the back of her embossed plastic food tray. I gave this bowl 2 stars for cuteness. Be aware though, this bowl is not as advertised. If your dog weighs more than 20 pounds tops, don't buy it.

Color Sept. 16 2012

Wonderful Quality! Everything was pretty much great. I mean it's a good size food bowl, but the medium size is too small for a medium sized dog. I have a small-medium dog (Havanese), and with he can finish everything in his bowl. The small bowl seems super tiny, so maybe if you had a toy/designer breed who do not eat much, then it could work. The medium sized bowl works fine for my 12lb dog, but I still think it's a little small.

The COLOR is not like the picture AT ALL! It's a super darker version of the blue shown in the image. I'll upload the true color of the "blueberry" colored bowl. It's literally the color of a blueberry.

The bone and paw graphics will disappear after only a few months of use. The bone/paw patterns will all slowly wash away.

Bowls that make sense! Aug. 3 2013

Dog bowls are light weight, easy to get the rubber ring off bottom for dishwasher use, are wide and shallow... Which is perfect!

Who wants to eat with their face stuck in a small opening deep dish with the food at hhe bottom? Not I, and not my dogs.

I have two pit bulls, both a little over 50lbs. The bowls are comfortable for their faces while eating, without spill over. They each hold probably 6 cups of food easy. I feed mine 1.5 cups in the am and again in the evening; with a little chicken breast. So the more shallow open style works great for ease in their ability to get to the food.
