About the Author
H. Ronald Hulnick, Ph.D., and Mary R. Hulnick, Ph.D., are the President and Chief Academic Officer, respectively, of the University of Santa Monica, where, for the past 30 years, they have been developing, refining, and co-facilitating a master's degree program in Spiritual Psychology. Their work is highly experiential and seeks to assist students in discovering their own answers to life's essential questions.

While I found some of the early structure different from what I am used to reading - the first few chapters were more autobiographical and less "instructional" than I expected - this book was a true gift. There is so much richness in the life events of the authors and the basic principles and skills that are presented, not to mention in what they have clearly crafted in their 30-odd years developing a University curriculum. Coming from such an 'experiential' context as an educational institution is, the authors did a tremendous job transmitting that curriculum and I am buying copies for loved ones, at least the loved ones who want more freedom in their hearts, thoughts and lives. Bravo!

Ron and Mary Hulnick have presented us with a straight forward, readable, understandable, relevant, pragmatic approach to realizing our own spiritual growth. They present us with very simple and powerful tools to teach us how to facilitate our own spiritual awareness. In addition, learning these processes has the inevitable consequence of participation in the upliftment of humanity. Through this book Ron and Mary use their experiences as the founding faculty and facilitators of the University of Santa Monica to make the principals and practices of Spiritual Psychology available to the world. I loved the book, and having read it, it is my intention to read it again in service to using the principles to take it to even deeper levels.

This book very clearly provides an answer to the question "What is Spiritual Psychology" which can be so challenging for those of us who have gone to USM to provide. It is an essential read, especially to those who are on a quest to evolve on their own spiritual path to higher levels of consciousness.
