The Doll is a charming fairy-tale farce for all ages. Just as amusing today as when it was made. Younger children will especially love it. Lovely and still-enjoyable piece of cinematic history.

Charm and vitality that are the mark of Lubitsch films are all in this collection.So much more enjoyable than much of what passes for entertainment today. What can you say
about a filmmaker who described dancing as " an epidemic of foxtrot". So charming!

Artfully crafted and restored befitting the creator of such wonderful inovative films. They give a glimpse of the great Berlin film factory in full swing with an abundance of its talented and varied character players.A great rareity well worth watching.
