Lola is at the end of her rope and decides to get her life together by going to a cabin in the middle of nowhere so no one can hear her scream. The caretaker is creepy and tells her not to touch the typewriter. With that cryptic warning ringing in her ears, Lola settles in.

Lola thinks she is going crazy when she hears whispers and feels phantom touches. Is the man she's seeing real? Will she spin out of control?

Misery Loves Company is not your ordinary romance. Ellen Ashe brings creepy to a whole new level and I love it. Misery Loves Company is heart wrenchingly sad. If I wanted happiness and light, this wouldn't be the book for me, but I like something a little dark that tugs on the heart strings and makes me think.

Misery Loves Company should be in a category all its own because the happily ever after is there, but not in a traditional since. I don't want to say too much because, as with most of Ms. Ashe's work, it might give something away. I think that is why I love Ms. Ashe's work: the fact that she makes me try to figure out what is going on.

4.5 stars for FANTASIES UNLEASHED by Skylar Sinclair.
Not much time was spent on a story, but this was worthwhile for excellent writing showing intense passion and sexual desire. Jerrod's hot luscious thoughts upon seeing Bella were better than a sex scene. His intensity and sexuality was a real turn-on. Bella hasn't had sex for ages and goes to a bar hoping for a one-night stand. Jerrod is at the bar, sees her and must have her.

4 stars for CONVINCING CATE by Jamie Hill aka Jenna Byrnes.
Fun, nice and erotic. Vince is 23 but looks like a young teen. He works as a waiter full-time, while on the side, perfecting his true love, painting. Cate is 32 and has weekly business dinners at Vince's restaurant. Vince has fallen in love with her from afar. Cate has always thought of Vince as "just a kid." When they finally get together, she doesn't want to develop any relationship due to the age difference. I enjoyed the 9 year difference between them, and I enjoyed the way Vince didn't care and kept pursuing Cate.

4 stars for TEMPTING TAMERA by Brynn Paulin.
Good erotic fun. I was emotionally pulled in. Andy wants to marry Tamera and won't leave her alone, calling and visiting her every day. She moves away and gets a job teaching 3rd grade in a gated community. Many parents in the community consist of threesomes. Brian and Kai are single men teaching at the same school and are interested in having a threesome with Tamera. She has been secretly attracted to both men.

3.5 stars for CRUDE OIL by Desiree Holt.
This is mostly sex scenes, which were erotic and good. The first sex scene was quite memorable and unexpected. Dana went through a difficult divorce. Max was her divorce attorney. Their relationship was friendly and business-like. After the divorce Dana's girlfriend pays for and sends Dana to a weekend at a lush erotic resort. Dana thought it was something different. Max happens to be there and tells her he will protect her from the other men, which she appreciates. However, Max does a lot more to her than keep others away.

3 stars for HIT AND MISS by Lyn Cash & Alexis Fleming.
Ok, interesting, but not as good as the other stories. Gabe does computer work for a matchmaking service. He is at a restaurant doing some work and meets Kat who is eating at a table nearby with friends. He overhears Kat talking about being hungry for sex and interested in a little BDSM. He also overhears her friends sending Kat to a matchmaking resort for the weekend. Gabe decides to go there and provide some BDSM for her, although he's never done BDSM before.

2 stars for HOW SWEET IT IS by Shermaine Williams.
Could be better. Ben was an actor who became a male escort. He loves his work and has many repeat clients. He sees a woman on the street and thinks about her frequently wondering how he could meet her. To his delight and surprise she hires him to be her escort one evening. At the end, the story was not finished. Yes one mystery was solved, but the main question about a couple getting together was unanswered. I was somewhat annoyed that 4 of the 6 sex scenes were Ben remembering past sexual encounters or imagining what a future encounter might be like. They were not actual events moving the plot forward.
