It has been a few years since I read the last book, I was kinda afraid I would forget things and not follow. But that just was not the case at all. I quickly picked it up and was instantly in love. Lust for Life was amazing. I was glued to the pages. And my goodness Jeri threw us for the biggest loop ever. So did not see it coming. I can't believe it happened. It was something I would have never expected. And I so can not tell you about it.This book just blew my mind!
Even though this is the last book we still get to go on one last crazy adventure. Not only do they escape a building being bombed but they are being attacked by other vampires. Then Shane and Ciara discover they are truly unique. Oh and we still get some nice sexy sexy moments. Even though Ciara is now a vampire and her and Shane should be able to count on a long future that is just not how it goes. They discover that the blood that made Ciara so unique may also be speeding up her vampirism.
This book ended just so perfectly. I can not even put into words how awesome of an ending it was. Even though I am sad to see it go, I will leave fully satisfied. The WVMP series has been such a fun ride. You will never find vampires like the ones Jeri created. I have loved every book in this series and couldn't have asked for a more awesome story. So, so long my favorite vampire radio D.J's I will miss you and all your quirks.
Alright, so Ciara and Shane are still one of my favorite book couples, and in this book it’s nothing different. I love Ciara; she’s so kick-ass and smart. Nothing she does makes me think she’s tstl. She’s a strong lead and independent character that doesn’t take crap from anyone. Shane is still my boyfriend… if this were real life I’d steal him away from Ciara ASAP. There are new characters introduced, like Jim’s replacement, and he’s a good addition to the clan. The plot wasn’t as action packed in this book. It slows down to a good pace, and I never skimmed / skipped any pages. There were twists and turns, I couldn’t figure out what was going to happen next. There’s a HUGE twist that I loved (it’s a good twist, no worries); and I have to say Smith-Ready ended the series with a big bang. I was afraid she was going to rush the ending or leave me with questions, but thankfully that wasn’t the case. I felt closure, but when I closed the book I almost cried because there’s no more adventures with Ciara and Shane. I’ll just have to re-read the series over and over again. PLEASE read this book!

Since I can't really say much about Lust for Life, other than it's shocking and brilliant, I want to just emphasize how much I have loved the WVMP Radio series. This vampire-centric Urban Fantasy is truly one of a kind. I know that seems impossible anymore, but it's absolutely true. Smith-Ready created her own brand of the beloved creatures, particularly that each is stuck in the era he/she was turned in. Spencer, Monroe, Jim, Noah and Regina each lent the series character. Shane and Ciara was the heart and soul. I've said to anyone who will listen to me, and I will say it again -- Shane and Ciara are probably my favorite book couple ever. The amount of respect, love, and sacrifice they share is inspiring. Shane and Ciara are two individuals who were equally awesome in their own right. Together, they are magic.
I honestly thought this would be a super quick and easy review to write, but I'm stuck. I have so much I want to say about how much I loved Lust for Life, how happy I am with the way the series ended and how lucky I feel to have experienced the ride. This series has given me some of my favorite characters, favorite couple and reminded me how much I love good music. Thank you Jeri Smith-Ready. You never let your readers down.
