The exact wording on Royalty use:
The audio files included in this Magix product may be used only for non-commercial purposes (exclusively for private purposes). Music files for commercial use are available at [...] catooh.com.
Not really royalty free. There are more than enough sets out there that are completely royalty free for the same amount of money, Sony has a whole line.
If you buy this collection don't expect to distribute your work in any way.
That's what it says on the back of the DVD case. In my opinion this could pose a lot of problems if you plan on selling your music. Especially if you mix sound loops from this disk with sound loops from their previous realty-free Sound Pool DVD collections.
It's going to be impossible to try to install this and keep track of the 6,000 NOT royalty free sound loops on this disk. The only option I can think of is to copy this disk to a separate folder and select sound loops by going to that folder. That would be the only way to be sure that I haven't used a non-royalty free loop from this disk in my music.
If you've ever had a false copyright infringement claim on youtube you know it can be a nightmare to get rid of them. I'm sure every song I post with loops from this new disk will be getting flagged and with this new "royalty free (for private use)" policy I'll have no recourse.
What the he** possessed MAGIX to change their license and royalties policy is beyond my comprehension. Who do they think they're selling these things to and why do they think we buy them? I'll tell you why. So we can be free to compose music that we can distribute without having to worry about breaking felony copyright laws or having to pay license or royalty fees on something we've already bought.
If MAGIX doesn't change this new policy back I predict they'll be out of business in short order.
A definite Do Not Buy until they change their policy in my opinion. I'm tempted to throw this disk out a window to see how far I can get it to go. I can't believe they did this.
Other than that, things are fine.

the older sound pools give you PRO license for about $40 (i think sp15 and older are good)
hope this helps
