This is a Math textbook chosen by my school to use and seemingly all schools in my district. I can't really give an analysis of the profiency of this book but I can say that if you buy this you should be aware that Chapter 8 and 9 are so error-ridden that the district has a whole other notebook for them.The extent or the nature of these errors is unknown to me. I bought this text to study over summer and I haven't been able to figure the errors out so far, having learnt of this in the middle of chapter 9 by a friend that is taking the course. Apparently I have not only wasted my time but possibly set myself up for mass confusion in the coming year. This is a warning for any student wishing to do the same.

I am a secondary school math teacher in Vancouver. The errors referred to by the previous reviewer were corrected by MathPower and the booklet she refers to that the school district uses to supplement the textbook is almost certainly the errata distributed by MathPower after they discovered the errors. MathPower *should* have corrected the error by now for all new textbooks. I would be really surprised if they haven't. The problem surfaced a few years ago (~2004?). The errors are serious, however, (concepts, not just little typos) so if you have an older version of the text please be careful if you use it for Chapters 8 or 9!

Hard covers are good condition and no missing pages.
