I gave this toy to my 8 yr old niece and we played with it together. It is a set of generic human figures that can be designed and dressed in countless ways. There are zillions of vinyl "stickers" that adhere to the human figures with static electricity.

My niece loved the varieties of clothing and hair available for designing the people. She is very artistic and has always had very specific tastes in clothing, and she loves trying on different combinations of clothes. This set gave her more creative freedom than her own wardrobe provides so she enjoyed that a lot. The only difficulty with this set was that the vinyl hair pieces didn't adhere very well to the glossy surface of the paper figures. I had to do that part and then the hair would fall off when she moved the figures around. It was a little stressful for her because she kept worrying about losing the hair, but mostly, she had a very fun time.

One nice feature of this set is that the box is the right size for acting as a wall with the Modern playhouse set.
