From Library Journal
World-weary, tired of notoriety, and badly in need of rest and emotional healing, psychic archaeologist Joshua Logan escapes to his native Appalachia only to find his peace of mind seriously threatened by the arrival of the new midwife, Victoria Bennett, a woman who engages his help-and his emotions. Although there are a few minor loose ends, well-developed main characters, nicely integrated emotional aspects, and a delightful, clairvoyant grandmother highlight Dixon's (Midnight Hour, Bantam 1994) fast-paced, sensual contemporary, which is tinged with a believable touch of the paranormal. [Dixon lives in Memphis.]
