Crazy disk partitioning. March 14 2012
By Richardhg - Published on Amazon.com
I have been helping out a friend who bought this unit. It just ground to a halt, and after loading Windows, wouldn't allow him to browse the Internet or do email.

It turns out the 1 TB hard drive is partitioned into an 80 GB C drive, and 920 GB D drive. Windows 7 and Users were both on the C drive. The Windows directory had bloated out to 30 GB, and his Users folder was another 35 GB. Most of this space was occupied by System files, and along with the apps he had loaded, and other Microsoft bloatware, he had completely filled his C drive.

It amazed me that MSI are this dumb. And now that I realize that the standard for Win 7 is a need for at least 150 GB on the C drive, this makes me realize I can't use nice fast hardware (SSD drives or RAM drive) with Win 7 when I build my next PC.
