I love MTV's Real World. But the Las Vegas season has to be the best one yet. The high ratings back me up. You get everything in this season, the fights, the drama, the hook ups, the laughter, every type of emotion is experienced throughout this season. These season consisted of 7 very attractive people in sin city, so you know how it's gonna go down. It's very interesting to see how the cast grow and learn from the experiences that they have to face for the first time. You see the cast deal with all sorts of issues including racism, homophobia, pregnancy, family issues, relationships, health, alcoholism, etc. It's very interesting to watch the relationships of Alton and Itulan, as well as Steven and Trishelle. They both have there ups and downs, but will they end up together at the end? Will Frank ever find the girl of his dreams? Can Brynn make it the entire season without getting kicked out? Will Arissa ever make an effort to change so that she can not be as moody and hot tempered? Everyone on the season fought with someone during the show, but everyone really for the most part got along, and that's partly why we were all drawn to this particular cast. Not to mention all the girls are hot. The one thing i didn't like about the dvd is that the music isn't the same as when it aired, as well as it is censored, but i tend to overlook that. I still give this one 5 stars.
There is another dvd which is The Real World Las Vegas, "You never saw."
This is a great dvd only about an hour or so long but i found it hilarious. It's uncensored and shows some pretty sexy and funny scenes that didn't make the cut on the original broadcast. I would pick this up too if i were you.

This one meets all the requirements for making straights look trashy. But it's not good MTV Reality. The classic was Road Rules 1. Based on what I saw of it the members never noted the camera. They were real into the mission. There were real cool backstorIes such as Shelly's life as an Indian. The missions were great and there are normal Soap Opera like dramas that form cool themes for the show. Of course this season was entertaining and intellegent and from what I saw of it great and had nothing you could mistake as sex camp or trashy. So there is little chance MTV will ever release it. I'm sure it was the one to get them to make the leap to trash and as such the guys behind the scene never want people to mention it again. Too bad- I really want the whole Season 1 on DVD. No wonder people no longer watch MTV. It should be new and classic Music Videos and shows that are a serious attempt at good work like in the mode of the Cinema Verte 28 Up- I.E. Road Rules 1. They could also include stuff like was on USA Up All Night. Of course the purpose of MTV is to trash straights so none of what I say will ever happen. And because Viacom is probably making so much $$$ on Euro/Latin MTV they don't care that it is tanking.

MTV's The Real World Las Vegas was perhaps the most scandalous season of this long running reality series. With some of the best roommate hookups and house dramas, set in the seductive world of Sin City, it's definitely the one collection to own if you're a fan. But there's a major disappointment: like with other DVD releases of The Real World, this one doesn't contain the outstanding soundtrack that was originally aired. For contractual rights reasons, all of that music was replaced by lifeless, generic instrumentals. Each season of The Real World on TV carefully intertwines the story with current music, featuring lyrics that perfectly reflect the mood and era in which the drama unfolds. But all this is lost on DVD, leaving the storyline just a little less punctuated and a lot less lively. The new soundtrack mix isn't as well balanced as the TV version -- sometimes the volume on the generic tracks overwhelms the center speaker dialogue. But overall, this is still a great collection to own from one of the best seasons of The Real World.

Without a shadow of a doubt this is was the most entertaining and the most fun season and cast to watch! The fights were great and they all ended with a make-up and an understanding. All the sexual tension made for some interesting situations, i.e. cheatings, threesomes, and unprofessional relationships. Finally a season without a homosexual in the cast, (Brynn was curious, not gay or bi) its about time that MTV did not pick someone just cause they want a homo in the bunch for affirmative action or some crap like that. All seven cast members are the most real and normal of any season (well, maybe they tie with Boston) and you can actually stand all seven of them, not one overly annoying kid in the bunch. How refreshing! All four females are gorgeous, not one ugly, fat, horse tooth, or freak of nature in this cast. The dudes are all normal and good looking as well. It truly was refreshing to have seven normal humans as opposed to the oddities on the other seasons. Thank you MTV for casting beautiful normal people for a change.

I don't know why people are complaining because there releasing Las Vegas on DVD!? I think it's great! People are complaining because they think season two should come out next. It will come out soon though, im sure. You'll just have to wait some time. As for the Las Vegas season of the real world, I thought it was great, I never missed one episode and I can't wait to see it again when I buy this DVD! I don't understand how anyone can get bored with it!? They always partied!!! They all got along, sometimes got along too well, and once and a while they had some fights, but I personally think that fights are more exciting. It was a classic real world season that I love, everyone was friends, and no one was really out of the picture. I mean, come on! They lived in LAS VEGAS!!! IN A CASINO!!!!! THEY WORKED AT A CLUB!!!!!!!!! No other season has done anything like that, I think this season was great because they did some things past season have never done! I have an entire real world library of all the "you never saw" DVDS, now i can't wait to start adding the entire seasons of the real world to my library. So just wait like I am until season 2 comes out, and hopefully they'll keep on bring out more seasons! Personally though I think they should release the real season one. With the 1992 original music! They call it the complete season, it's not complete, it's not original!! I just hope that season two isn't like that! As for now, get season 12!!!!!!!!!!!!
