I noticed that at the end of a song, just before the beginning of a new song, some of the songs skip a beat.

Bryan Adams is one of the best rock singers to come out of Canada. I think he just gets better with age...like a good bottle of Bordeaux! Ha! Ha! He delivers lyrically, vocally & instrumentally time & time again. This CD is one of my favorites because as with most MTV Unplugged the songs are broken down to acoustical renditions which I love! He still keeps enough of the rock in it for all of us that love that too!

1.Summer of 69: This is one of his classic rock songs that most people will remember the introduction of Bryan Adams to the music scene. Definetly this song was written when he was a young teenager. Has all those elements of what love means at that time of age.

2.Back To You: Another song from his older body of work...this is one that most recognize immediately. I always loved this song. He & Jim Valance had such a great songwriting partnership....like Lennon/McCartney or Elton John/Bernie Taupin...they could succesfully collaborate & really had such success song after song.

3.Cuts Like A Knife: This song is one of my 1st Bryan Adams songs that I ever heard. Love that vocal intro...and loved the way they used the guitars on this track. I could just eat his raspy, gritty vocals for breakfast everyday of my life & not miss food! Ha! Ha! Such a great song....of course about LOVE! Who can say "Darlin" like that?????

4.I'm Ready: My favorite song on the CD. I love all the orchestral instruments used in this song...they simply enhance the absolutely flawless construction of this song. This song had been on movie soundtracks & anyone can see why immediately..it is one of the most powerful love songs ever written. I love, love, love the flute in this song.......

Whether he's gracing us with his acoustic versions or rock versions, Bryan is great live regardless. This CD, shows his greatness in the acoustic field. Some of his biggest hits here are re-worked in such an amazing way. I have heard a lot of people say they prefer Bryan Adams when he is producing rock/pop music, but truth is the acoustic versions of 'Summer of 69', 'Cuts Like A Knife', 'Heaven', and 'The Only Thing That Looks Good On Me Is You' are just as fun as the originals.

The only slump I think is the acoustic work of 'Fits Ya Good', and '18 'Til I Die'. I just don't think those songs sound his best in this setting. 'I'm Ready' is beautiful, and sounds a lot better than the original version featured on his 'Cuts Like A Knife' album. I prefer this version, it's much more moving and I think it sounds a lot more sincere and gives the song's message a lot clearer.

I absolutely adore 'If You Wanna Be Bad - You Gotta Be Good/Let's Make A Night To Remember'. It's good fun, and I suggest you look up Bryan Adams' DVD 'Live At Slane Castle' where he also performed this song, I remember pissing myself laughing because he started having fun with the song and being silly. Great Bryan Adams moment.

'When You Love Someone', 'A Little Love' are nice. 'When You Love Someone' is gorgeous, I heard the opening music was moved to tears. The music just sounds so beautiful and the way Bryan Adams sings some of his ballads is so incredible. So many people sit and critisize Bryan Adams for his ballads and totally ignore exactly how amazing his delivery on them really is. Another example of this is also show cased on the final track 'I'll Always Be Right There.'

Lastly, the acoustic work of 'I Think About You' sounds like something right out of the '60s. It's a good listen.

I'm usually not a fan of the "MTV Unplugged" series that took place in the 1990s for two reasons: 1) MTV: I don't like it and I don't like the influence they have had on the music industry; 2) I'd rather hear a full band set then just the acoustics. However, Bryan Adams' Unplugged album made me think twice about shying away from an "Unplugged" album. In this album Bryan Adams does a tremendous job at developing a fusion his early career work (going back to the album "You Want It You Got It" with some of his later career work "18 Til I Die"). Adams succeeds in putting together a solid live album that doesn't have to depend on a large dose of the many pop hits. As a result, Adams is going to show great depth to his work and a solid diversity by being able to put an acoustic spin on things.
The portfolio of songs included on the album does not include any tracks from "Into the Fire" or "Waking Up the Neighbours". It only contains 2 songs from "Reckless". Immediately that would throw up a flag in my book, but don't let that deter you. The CD contains all of the lyrics to all of the songs that are included on the CD. There is a nice listing of credits at the end as well. Long time Adams band-mates Tommy Mandel, Mickey Curry, Keith Scott, and Dave Taylor are included.
The album does open with one of the pop hits - "Summer of 69". This song will be highlighted by some nice vocal harmonies (the album gives Curry, Scott, and Taylor credits so I assume its them). The tempo of the song has a mix between some slower parts and uptempo. The result - a whole new spin on an old favorite.
The next song is a killer track - "Back to You".
