Lena was certainly a gifted vocalist. She was also the victim of unrealistic expectations. She suffered from starvation and died too young.

I really enjoy listening to the song 'End of the World' by Skeeter Davis; so when I did a search on Youtube, I was pleasantly surprised to find a clip of Lena Zavaroni singing 'End of the World' on Johnny Carson.
It was amazing listening to a ten year old singing 'End of the World' with such a strong and passionate voice. So I looked up a few more clips of Lena and enjoyed the other songs that she sang. When I ran across this CD, I decided to purchase it.
This is her first album and Lena sounds very young. But her voice is vibrant and full of spunk. My favorites include 'Ma He's Making Eyes at Me', 'Swinging on a Star', and 'End of the World'. An enjoyable album of cover songs enthusiastically performed by the talented Lena Zavaroni.
