Much funnier movie that the first with more character development, for a cartoon. Makes me want to see the third installment. Great tips of the hat to a few older movies, the kind of thing kids would not get but it was very subtle.

The Madagascar movies are turning into a bit of a franchise. The first one was fantastic and this one is even better. I have both on Blu-Ray and the colours and animation are top notch. This will appeal to every member of your family from 3 years to 300! The penguins are a riot and so is the bonus short featuring the penguins. I was surprised and delighted to hear BOSTON's "More Than A Feeling" in the movie. It was touching and wonderful and a great tribute to a fantastic band and deceased BOSTON lead vocalist Brad Delp.
