It is not my 8 mo. old's favorite book (she loves Buenas Noches Gorila & Look Who's Talking at the Zoo & Olivia)but she does enjoy the big, colorful pictures. I think she also likes the size of the book. I personally like that the book is very short, quick and that it rhymes. (It's a nice follow-up to her longer books) And, of course, who doesn't love madeline? Overall, it's a nice book to have, but not the most engaging.

My daughter received this book, along with the cloth Madeline doll, for Xmas. She loves them both. This book is a great intro for a younger child (she is 21 months) into the world of Madeline.

A very nice book that's well illustrated. Mostly for the younger set since there's no story line to speak of, and the book goes very quick.
