Good, but not great, Compilation of great Disney Songs,
By
This review is from: La Magia de Disney y Sus Super Estrellas (Audio CD)
This compilation of Disney Songs from the 90's to the present time is very good, most of the best Pop latin and international stars sing the original spanish versions of the songs of the best Disney musicals. So far, the track list is as follows:1. "En mi corazon viviras" -- Phil Collins ("Disney's Tarzan(R)") 11."Colores en el viento" - Vanessa Williams ("Pocahontas") There is a couple of great songs missing, Luis Miguel's version of "Someday" from the Hunchback of Notre Dame ("Sueña") which is a far better version than the one included on the English soundtrack of the movie and Ricky Martin's version of "Go the Distance" from Hercules, also a better version than the one sung by Michael Bolton. It is, anyway, a great buy for any Disney fan.

Disney Records, when come out with an O.S.T. «generaly came in default languaje, in most cases ENGLISH», When use a TRADUCTION for any languaje in this case "Spanish-Latino-Americano" they don't include in the original O.S.T. In my case "I was wondering about an especific SONG, «Lyrics»" in my local store, notificed me "that PERFECT WORLD" in English by Tom Jones, AND ESPANISH-LATINO Oscar D' Leon, perfornance, MUNDO PERFECTO #6 «Lyrics», WAS NOT IN THE ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK, SO I was desapoinment and try it looking for it somewhere else, IN THIS CASE (THIS CD I'm rating by now) MUNDO PERFECTO (perfect world) It's a song FOR OPENING using in "THE EMPEROR's NEW GROOVE" that I found very «INTERESTING SONG» (help me a lot to explain my children basics of christianity) «GOD SUN and so on» (without teachin them in the new testament style, keeping old testament in the place that deserves) it's a shame that I haven't found «Snuff Out The Light (Yzma's Song)» in spanish as well (IN THE ETERNAL STRUGLE BETWENN LIGTH-DARKNESS BLACK-WHITE GOOD-EVIL)Lyrics: There are despots and dictators Political manipulators There are blue bloods with the intellects of fleas There are kings and petty tyrants Who are so lacking in refinements They'd be better suited swinging from the trees He was born and raised to rule No one has ever been this cool In a thousand years of aristocracy An enigma and a mystery In Meso American History The quintessence of perfection that is he He's the sovereign lord of the nation He's the hippest dude in creation He's a hep cat in the emperor's new clothes Years of such selective breeding Generations have been leading To this miracle of life that we all know What's his name? Kuzco, Kuzco, Kuzco... He's the sovereign lord of the nation He's the hippest cat in creation He's the alpha, the omega, a to z And this perfect world will spin Around his every little whim 'Cause this perfect world begins and ends with him What's his name? Kuzco, Kuzco, Kuzco... |
