I already have the standard definition DVD version of this and it contains some spectacular footage taken by IMAX cameras. The Blu-Ray version of most IMAX films is usually significantly better than the standard definition DVD version so I can't wait to get this one into my hands and Blu-Ray player. Of the IMAX movies I've seen, this one is a favourite that I enjoy viewing every now and again. Tom Selleck does the narration and his voice is pleasant and easy to listen to. The movie is well written and produced. If you enjoy aviation and aircraft, this one is for YOU! An absolute must for aviation enthusiasts and even those who just marvel at the magic of flight.

It is an interesting look at flight and has a lot of good aerial footage but keep in mind that this movie came out in 1996 and is somewhat dated. It is relatively short (42 min) and I find Tom Selleck whiny and annoying. I would give it a solid 7 out of 10. My favourite parts were of in-flight footage of aircraft carrier landings and Blue Angel performances.
I think it should cost about $5 less to be worth the money.

great film..great images..but..it was supposed to be widescreen. And unfortunately it's only 4/3 :-(
DTS is amazing.
globally good picture quality but several compression problem ( on dark scenes ).
watched on a 16/9 projector ( sharp xv-z 9000 ).

Best Blue Angels DVD ever made
It's Amazing, it was the first Blue Angels DVD that I got (now I have 10) and I still think that it's the best one.

Ive never seen a reaction like it...

Good flight Scenes, boring narrative
