This book "Nikon D5100, Multimedia Workshop" was the greatest book disapointment in years. It's not a Nikon D5100 book at all. It's only a general guide to people who want to know more about digital cameras; it mentions nothing about the Nikon D5100 except a quick reference wallet card, one page of the book. The book's jacket gives the impression that this Magic Lantern book reveals info about the Nikon D5100, but no, never does. Also I don't know why the word "Workshop" is in the tite? Assuredly, a misleading title. I gave it away for charity at Value Village, taking out the misleading book jacket and title and added a note on the cover of the real topic: "Understanding Basic Digital DSL Camera",the honest title of it. And the word BASIC is what it talks about. Here are a few titles mentioned: What is a D-SLR camera?, What are the user-controlled exposure modes P,S,A,AE,M. What is an ISO, WB and AF?, etc..... I can't believe that this book sells for $29.95 + a 13% tax in Canada or was even published except to attract victims like me .... a waste of time and money for 64 pages of kintergarden info about DSLRs.
