I have personaly meet Chrissy and she is a fantastic lady. Her music is just plain great old style rock, kinda like Pat Benatar's earlier stuff. If you get chane to listen to this CD I don't think you will be disapointed. I have an autographed copy and just wish to retire it. Can't really pick a favorite track as I like them all. Is too bad she didn't take off in the states. We are missing out on a great rocker because of it.

LOve Me Till it hurts and Cry Myself to sleep are the best songs on this album. I still remember this album and I remember being impressed by the song- CRY MYSELF TO SLEEP- A BEAUTIFUL BALLAD.

Chrissy Steele is in the same mold as Lee Aaron and Lita Ford- but she just doesn't quite measure up to them.

HASH(0x9e159354) out of 5 stars Magnet to Steele Dec 6 2009

Just what I had expected...good solid rockin' backbeat...great guitar with strong vocals to match...I have always been a fan of Brian (Too Loud) MacLeod's work and I am very happy to add this CD to my collection. Thanks to my friends on Vancouver Island for turning me on to it. Thanks to Amazon for getting me this slightly dated CD so quick. Chrissie Steele Rocks! I would like to hear more of her. Chrissie's vocals are comparable to other notable female rockers of that time period such as Sass Jordan, Nancy Wilson or Pat Benatar in my humble opion. It is tragic that Mr. Macleod is not here on this earth to share his gift with us....Damn Cancers......Rock On Chrissie Steele wherever you are!!

HASH(0x9e0aa21c) out of 5 stars Long live "too loud" McCloud Nov. 21 2010

I love to listen to Brian McCloud. He was a great musician. His legacy lives on with Chilliwack, Headpins, and with Chrissy. He co-wrote all the songs except one, engineered, produced, and played guitar on this album. Miss Steele can sing with the best. From her gut wrenching vocals on Move over to her sweet sounding voice on Love don't last and Cry myself to sleep. The world needs more females to do this kind of rock. One album isn't enough from her. Chrissy where are you??? It's really too bad grunge ruined everything. this was $$$$ well spent. And she's easy on the eyes too.

HASH(0x9e01d2f4) out of 5 stars bring back the "classy" hair bands, please ! Nov. 7 2015
By re-view - Published on Amazon.com
in recent weeks i am on a late 80s hard'n'heavy binge. this is non-ironic, non-apologetic, life-affirming, serotonin inducing music. brian (too loud) mcleod's sound along with john kalodner and bob rock's were the epitome of the "classy" hair bands. canadian bands were superior, LA bands were cheap, they made janet kacson sound better, and ruined the whole industry. then the apologetic, whiny grungesters and caveman-style anger-rocker trash-metallers took over, together marginalizing rock and making rock and the whole industry to implode. looking at the cover of "magnet to steele" and listening to the big sound, i will say to tastemakers (nighttime, the entertainment press, etc) will you please bring back hair bands??. a little yearning for "unrealistic body images" could force our youth to eat healthier and keep a good physique; a little desire for big, heathy hair could lead them to take better care of their hair, and a lust for big hard rock sound might lead them to master music and produce arse-kicking rock and roll ! chrissy steele's voice, by the way, is amazing.
HASH(0x9e159e4c) out of 5 stars Old School Vocals April 28 2014

It's a darn shame that Chrissy only made one CD. Her voice is as good as the Wilson sisters (Heart) or Lzzy Hale's (Halestorm). She's a jewel and left us wanting so much more. This is a very good CD overall... the first few songs stand out especially. Musically, the lead guitarist nailed it with a really big 80's sound. The history of her and this group is sad... however, we're left with this wonderful testimony of her extensive talent. Check it/her out and pick this up if you love that old school rock and roll girl growl!
