The first thing that caught my attention was the sassy look on the dachshund's face! Having dogs of my own, I can attest they too have had 'the look' from time to time. I searched for a synopsis online and watched a demonstration of the paper mache being made on Youtube. The mache is so easy to make! The author (Jonni Good) has excellent instructions and plenty of step by step photographs which makes this book a perfect 5 stars! She includes quite a few animal sculpture ideas (including the dog that caught my eye on the front cover!) This book really is value for money, and everyone will want to whip up a batch of the paper mache to try it out for themselves!

I first found out about this book from Jonni's website. Her book is everything I expected and more! She gives clear, precise directions, lots of pictures, and really walks you through everything thoroughly. Whether you are a beginner who has never done anything artistic, or an experienced artist, this book will give you lots of inspiration AND a neato recipe for Jonni's paper mache clay! Try it! You'll like it!

This book will teach the reader a very good technique for building Paper Mache sculptures using a combination of cardboard templates, newspaper and styrofoam to form an armature. I teach Paper Mache techniques to children in a summer art program and will be using some of the techniques in this book to guide my students through the sculpting process. However I recommend using Celuclay brand Paper Mache as it's safer to use in a classroom setting.
