I have been making money on the Internet with Google ads for some time now. I'm talking about those little text ads you see on many websites that say "Ads by Gooooooogle" under them. I recieve a check every single month from Google for letting them put tiny ads somewhere on my webpage. And it's easy to do. So easy in fact, I can't believe many more people aren't doing it.I guess the stumbling block for many is the know-how required to setup a website. You may have no idea where to start. That's where Eric Giguere's brand new book ""Make Easy Money with Google: Using the AdSense Advertising System" comes in. It doesn't get any easier than this folks, and I'm really excited about this book. Eric taught this stuff to his father, a non-computer geek, from start to finish. It made perfect sense to author a book along the way to help others, like you. The result is a conversational style narrative that not only gives you the step-by-step instructions, but lets you in on the hows and whys of the process. This is a really easy-to-understand book. And you don't have to learn how to program computers. It won't even cost you anything to follow every single step along the way. I think anyone with any curiosity about earning some extra cash with your very own website should run, not walk, to the bookstore for a copy.

A Great Guide for Beginners,

After reading this book I decided to go back and add a review. I looked through some of the previous reviews and noticed a few negative reviews. I really think these people missed the point of this book. In my opinion this book is not targetted at Web masters but rather people who may know very little about computers but have a web sites where they want to add some advertising. Sure it goes into detail, but I think this is exactly what Eric's target market needs. These people are not Web masters so then need to have the background information before understanding how the whole program works. In my opinion this book is a great overview of the Adsense program. I have already recommended this book to a number of friends who have created web sites and I will continue to do so.

Some good information in an ill-focused book...,

Google's AdSense program has allowed anyone to make money from their website. Eric Giguere attempts to explain how this is done in the book Make Easy Money with Google : Using the AdSense Advertising Program.Content: Making Money with Google; Understanding AdSense; Finding Something to Say; Getting Ready to Say It; Designing Your Site; Building Your Site; Becoming an AdSense Publisher; Publishing Ads on Your Site; Making Money from Your Site; Expanding Your Horizons; Index This is one of those books that I have a hard time figuring out how to rate. On the positive side, Giguere does a good job showing what the AdSense program is, how it works, and how to get set up with it. There is also quite a bit of material on how advertising works, as well as how companies can "bid" on keywords to make sure their ads show up more frequently when certain content is displayed. The whole book is done as a conversation between the author and a couple of people who are asking him how to make money on the web. If you have a website and want to learn about the AdSense program, this part of the book will appeal to you. The problem I have with the book is focus. In my opinion, far too much of the book is spent on explaining web sites, domains, and how to go about creating a website. The people I know who have started using AdSense to pick up a few dollars from their site *already have a site*! I don't need an explanation about domains, choosing a site name, and instructions on how to build a page. Been there, done that a *long, long* time ago. The only way I could recommend this book in its entirety would be if someone was looking for a money-making opportunity, and didn't know squat about websites. And if that's the case, focusing on building a website merely to support your AdSense efforts seems a very tall order... Nice styling, easy to read, and good information about the AdSense program. Unfortunately, well over half the book was off-target in my opinion... Caveat emptor... 10 of 10 people found the following review helpful

After reading the reviews, I have to agree with the majority. This is a book for those who do not have websites or the knowledge about the Internet. I have about 50, of which a couple pull about 5000 visitors a day. I was able to skip through a lot of chapters and get to the Adsense section. Using the book, I was able to increase my daily intake from about $11 to about $70.00 (that's over $2000.00 a month)and obviously paid for the book. :)The best part was that I really didn't understand a section and I e-mailed the author, Eric. HE REPLIED!! He has given a little more insight to my particular situation and it has helped. I think that there may be another book on the horizon for those of us who are ready to progress to MEMWG II. I'll buy it. 12 of 13 people found the following review helpful

The author boasts that he write in narrative form, unlike other computer how-to books. What this really means is that he says in 250 pages what could be said in 10. This book is really about building your website, what content to put in it, and optimizing your site for the search engines. The fact that you have a couple of lines of code that embeds the AdSense ads in your site is treated as an afterthought.
