I took a chance buying this book when it hadn't been reviewed yet, and I was very pleased with it!! In fact, I like it better than any other jewellery making books that I've bought in the past!
It begins with a section on materials, then tools and equipment, then Basic techniques. Then the bulk of the book is comprised of 28 sections each devoted to a specific kind of gemstone. In each section she gives detailed instructions on 3 or 4 different beautiful projects she made using that stone.
The entire book is full-colour, and beautifully laid out. It is full of great ideas that are explained step by step.
I highly recommend this book for any jewellery artist, any skill-level, and especially those who are drawn to semi-precious stones!

I received this book as a gift and found it to be a terrific find. Not only is there a good deal of information about the stones themselves, but very nice pictures, and projects to go along with each that would suit any skill level. I was quite impressed with it and would suggest it to anyone who dabbles in jewelry making or who wishes to pursue it more seriously.

This is a well illustrated book for beginner or intermediate jewelry artists. Pictures are easy to see and understanding the next steps to the project. Love the Stone Chart. This book is also informational regarding some stone history.
