It is said, “Seek and you will find.” But what happens when your search for the truth about life, God and the meaning of existence repeatedly fails to offer satisfactory answers? This is the story of one woman’s lifelong quest for a fulfilling spirituality, one that answers the unanswerable, that is truly universal and all-inclusive and, above all, that is logical and practicable. Making Peace with God recounts a journey that begins with Catholic roots, explores various ancient and contemporary spiritualities and culminates with the extraordinary thought system of A Course in Miracles. The author’s relentless pursuit and eventual gifts of trust and peace will greatly inspire students of A Course in Miracles.

From the Publisher

Gary Renard, author of The Disappearance of the Universe highly recommends this wonderful book!

“This book could very well have been titled “A Lot of Willingness” as I saw in it someone who sought her true path with much determination. The author was inspired by the same light that touched Helen Schucman. As a serious student, dedicated to her quest for finding the truth, her story will inspire those on a similar quest. Like a lighthouse, Making Peace with God will take you on an extraordinary journey that will lead you towards the happy dream, as promised by A Course in Miracles. Stella Pilon, author (The Miracle that Delivered Me from Depression and Suffering)."

Also by Pauline Edward: “The Power of Time: Understanding the Cycles of your Life's Path” and “Astrological Crosses in Relationships”.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Companion to ACIM Oct. 30 2009
This book is a great read for anyone studying A Course In Miracles, for anyone interested in ACIM, or anyone looking for a way out of the spiritual supermarket. I have been a student of ACIM for over a year and half and it has been an interesting journey. As I read Making Peace With God I found that Pauline's journey had many similarities to mine. Her book is easy to read, funny, serious and powerful in describing the journey with ACIM. In her journey to making peace with God, Pauline clearly presents the essence of ACIM. I am eagerly awaiting her next book.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Must Read for The Spirutal Seeker July 20 2009
By Jeanine M. Austin - Published on
I simply could not put this book down. I highly recommend this book to any serious spiritual seeker. Ms. Edward's journey has been a compelling and deeply introspective one. This book will take you on a wonderful quest from the innocent ideas about spirituality to a real homecoming to truth and love. This is a wonderfully written offering. If you are interested in metaphysics and particularly A Course in Miracles, this book should not be missed.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Journey to Peace Sept. 9 2009
By Linda J. Mcnabb - Published on
This is a story of how one woman made her way through the trials and tribulations of life to a place of peace and understanding within herself. Pauline Edward beautifully tells her story of how she came from feeling lost and separate to complete trust that all is well regardless of what appears to happening in the world. She shows us that it is quite possible to reach God/awareness because it is in fact the most natural thing in the world. If you ever wondered how to be really alive and completely at peace be sure to read this story.

4.0 out of 5 stars a terrific companion for any new age seeker turned Course In Miracles Student March 23 2010
By Jennifer Hadley - Published on
Making Peace With God is a terrific companion for any new age seeker turned Course In Miracles Student. Pauline Edward's book takes us on the familiar life path of many spiritual seekers who start off dismayed and discouraged by religious teachings - in Pauline's case she grew up a Catholic. In search of true peace, ike so many others before and since, Pauline explores one teaching after another and remains unsatisfied until she begins to really LIVE the teachings of A Course In Miracles.

Pauline is a very bright and thoughtful person who has a strong thirst for truth that cannot be quenched by anything less than true peace. She takes her readers on the journey with her as she moves through the spiritual buffet line studying one teaching after another including: Numerology, Astrology, Palmistry, Reiki, Flower Essences, Silva Mind Control and more. It is precisely because Pauline has so much in common with so many of us that she makes such a worthwhile companion for her audience.

In Making Peace With God, Pauline is authentic and transparent as she shares her challenges with her marriages and relationships; the intensity of her physical health trials and suffering and even the death of her beloved cat, Bubby. Little by little she moves beyond an intellectual acceptance of the Course teachings and into a true practice of living the teachings. Through it all Pauline deepens, as any dedicated Course student must, in her relationship with the Holy Spirit and her willingness to see clearly increases. Her challenges become breakthroughs and she discovers that peace is already here.

For anyone who struggles with whether or not the teachings of A Course In Miracles and disappearance Of The Universe are true, for anyone who struggles to actually - as I say it, PARTNER UP! with the Holy Spirit - this book will provide encouraging companionship. I recommend Making Peace With God to anyone who would like good company on the path!

Pauline's book charts her dedicated journey to find a spiritual teaching that would serve to heal and awaken her. For Pauline, finding 'A Course in Miracles' is the culmination of her journey. In the later part of her book she clearly explains many aspect of the Course's teachings (with examples from her own life), which will be of help to students new to the Course. An inspiring and enjoyable book which will encourage others on their spiritual journey.

5.0 out of 5 stars Seeking and finding divine connection March 4 2011
By Susan Dugan - Published on
In the memoir Making Peace with God: The Journey of A Course in Miracles Student, Montreal author Pauline Edward recounts her yearning for divine connection beginning in childhood and continuing through adolescence and adulthood. Raised Catholic and certain at an early age that there was something more to this world than concrete experience had revealed, she sets about seeking for a better way, embracing several metaphysical disciplines including astrology and numerology while also searching for spiritual union within romantic relationship. The ultimate failure of anything outside herself to permanently fulfill her finally launches her on A Course in Miracles' journey without distance to the place we never left.

Readers cannot help but identify with Edward's vivid, intimate, moving accounts of her "serial adventures" in this world, and eventual plea for a better way of living through forgiveness A Course in Miracles style. Her ability to articulate the Course's metaphysics while applying its mind-healing principles in the classroom of her life will inspire Course students. And her application of forgiveness to a painful, ongoing physical challenge and a difficult, long-term relationship perfectly illustrate the miracle of changing our mind about all we believe would hurt or help us through a new kind of forgiveness that "... merely looks on devastation, and reminds the mind that what it sees is false." A practice that teaches us to gently smile at the fearful images we generate to defend against the eternal, all-inclusive Love we continue to share. Like her subsequent book, Leaving the Desert: Embracing the Simplicity of A Course in Miracles; this is a must read for A Course in Miracles students or anyone curious about its profound, mind-healing message.
