Works as advertised Dec 28 2011

I am a professional carpenter/remodeler and have done some metal roofs before, but never one with hips and valleys. This was the first metal nibbler I have owned, so I can't compare it to others, but it worked well on the first job. I bought it for the price, but the quality has been beyond my expectations. I used it cutting metal roofing sheets on angles for hips and valleys. It sometimes gets hung up in the ridges of the sheet, but some of that may be the operator. It cuts straight and fast. I am well satisfied. A very good product for the money.

This is my 1st nibbler. I have only used it a little, but I like it so far. This doesn't cut, it punches, & seems a little hard to keep a straight line but probably just takes getting used to.

Follow-up : After several months of use this is a very good tool & works well.

YEP after even more months, still works good. For the record: I have cut 3 - 29 gauge sheets of steel roofing at 1 time with it.

We put metal roofs on 4 homes this spring. Well worth the $$$$$.
Just need to do all your cutting in an area easy to clean the small pieces up.
