I thought this book had a great story line to it. As soon as i read the back of this book i knew i had to read it. It kept me interested and took me only 3 days to finish. Although i felt this book could have been a bit longer and had a bit more to it..I still recommend it for anyone to read.

This book was a huge disappointment. I only finished it (skimmed, really) in hopes that it would get better. It did not. The storyline is what drew me in, it had great potential, but it didn't go anywhere. Besides the fact that nothing really happened in the book and there was no action, the heroine was not likable in the least. There is stubbornness and there is foolishness. She was foolish, annoying, and frustrating. From the beginning of the book, till literally almost the very end, every action the heroine took was to get away from the hero. There was never any softening towards him, no romance, which is disappointing considering this is romance novel. In all actuality, this book reminded of `the taming of the shrew', only Elizabeth stays a shrew until just the end and Evan doesn't get a many chances to "tame" (or woo her for that matter) because she was always running from him. Then she finally "yields" to him and out of nowhere they have this great love.

'Mrs Evan McGregor.' The mere sound of it sent chills up Elizabeth's spine, for the knowledge of her marriage to Evan was a dangerous secret, one she hadn't enjoyed keeping over the last five years. And now he was back to claim her as his wife! But that could never be, for she could not risk losing her son to the father he had never met... Damn Elizabeth Murray-McGregor! It had taken Evan years to summon the confidence to right his youthful blunder, and return for the only woman he'd ever loved. And now, his beautiful wife was refusing to see him. And determined to ignore the undeniable passion that raged between them still.!
