Product Description

Review

"Managing Cultural Differences should be a required text for all students (graduate and undergraduate) who are preparing for careers in international business, foreign service or developmental change, in either the public or private sectors.

Having spent a good part of my professional career working both abroad (Malawi, India, and Indonesia) and in the United States (Indian Reservations and in Appalachia,) this book is of great value to anyone working or living in a cross cultural environment, both at home or abroad.

A five star publication."

W. B. Leach, PhD Peace Corp staff, University of Kentucky Center for Developmental Change, and University of Kentucky Research Foundation (Retired)

"the bible of multiculturalism" - New York Times News Service "All in all, this is one of the most complete books about management in the modern global world. The cross-cultural dimension of the book makes it a must-read for any young or experienced manager working internationally out of corporate headquarters or working full time overseas." -- Christopher Howard-Williams, International consultant and executive education provider

3.0 out of 5 stars Love that Amazon is so much cheaper than college bookstore!, Mar 29 2012

I always come to Amazon for my college textbooks. I save 40-100 dollars per book and get free shipping and no tax here. And I receive my books when I need them, before classes start. Amazon is the only place I get my textbooks anymore. This is not my favorite textbook ever, but it is decent. Not traditional textbook writing. More like a book so the key concepts and such are not well marked and don't stand out within the chapters.

Was disappointed that the book had as much writing in it as it did, and cost almost the same as a new one. I don't have a problem paying new prices if it's new or has very minor damage.
However,I do mind paying new prices when the book is in a less then acceptable condition. Will be careful next semester, buying used books. This, is my first issue like this, but service was good and the book arrived promptly.
