Product Description

Chris Hart’s latest entry in his blockbuster series explodes with girl power! From fighters and princesses to magical characters and ordinary schoolgirls, manga features an array of female types, and Hart goes step by step through the techniques for creating them all, so that artists of any level can follow along. His huge cast of characters includes angels of light and darkness, a sushi chef, samurai, shopaholics, a pirate, a judge, athletes, and a veterinarian tending to a sick cute monster. And, since manga girls rarely sit still, aspiring illustrators will learn how to draw them in action, in a variety of situations.

It is clear throughout this wonderful book, that Christopher Hart really understands and appreciates Manga. The joy comes through in every page. He covers it all - different action poses, athletic types, various scenes and manga professions :-) You will be entertained for hours and yes, your drawing "chops" will increase exponentially!

I bought this for my nephew, he wanted the man stuff but I told him if he wanted to draw he had to draw both sexes. Shipping time was great. Pricing was good. Easy to do through Amazon best way to shop.

3.0 out of 5 stars a little sassy for me, July 25 2011

Bought this for a 9 year old. Half the book was a little too sassy for my liking. I returned it for a mellower manga book. Too much t&a for a 9 year old, even if it is a cartoon drawing. This book would be better for a teenager.
