Dana is a lonely, manga fan traveling to Japan with her school. Dana's former bff Melissa, joined the "popular kids" and ignores her completely during the trip. While Dana enjoys experiencing the culture in Japan, she struggles and finds a way to fit in.
Very easy reading level. The writer is talented and could have developed this into a more sophisticated YA novel.
