On en fait plus des séries comme celle-la ! Historique, riches de décors, costumes, contenu ! J'adore le jeux des acteurs... bon la fin est a l'eau de rose mais on aime ça des fois :) Le documentaire qui vient avec a mal vieillit, mais ce n'est pas grave. Je ne regrette pas du tout mon achat.

Marguerite Volant / Coffret (4DVD)I too was very dissapointed that it had no English Subtitles , it did say French Language , this I expected , but unlike most DVDS I have ever purchased in a foreign languagethey always had an assortment of subtitles. This is not made clear by amazon. I live in Australia and its expensive to send back, they have offered a refund and for me to re buy it , but I see no info on it being with English subtitles anywhere. I paid fast shipping to get it here as I was so wanting to see it . It did look beautiful , the little I saw . I collect period films , but without the words it falls short of enjoyable .

I saw the series Maugerite Volant a long time ago on TV and was excited to find it available on DVD. The fottage is beautiful and it was even more well done than I remembered with regard to recreating costumes,props and surroundings that were historically belivable. The actors are excellent and it's a good story with good sideplots. Two factors prevent me from giving it five stars, I think the cut between scenes are sometimes a bit clumsy, and I had hoped that a DVD from Canada where both enlish and french are official languages would have subtitles in english and french. There was no information available to tell me otherwise. But there is only subtitels in french when an english character speaks english. There is not even french continous "subtitels for the hard of hearing". As neither english or french is my native tounge and having read french for only about a fifth of the time I've read english I do miss the finer points of the dialogues.
