The additions of the online tournaments and the course designs are what set this game apart from the other games in the series.
Every couple of weeks you'll have anywhere from 5-10 online tournaments that you can enter and earn exclusive gear for your Mii, as well as trophies if you're good enough. The tournaments cover all of the courses and golf modes, so there is always at least one tournament you can enter in your preferred mode.
The course designs in this game are so much fun, and each one is different enough from the others to keep things interesting. I wish that the 6 themed courses were all 18 holes, but the amount of detail and clever environmental features make up for them only being 9 holes.
The castle club mode is too short for experienced players. If you can manage -6 over 18 holes on each of the three normal courses you'll breeze through the mode in an hour. The randomly appearing challenges and one-on, one-putt challenge can be pretty difficult though. The equipment you can get is a little disappointing just because so much of it is just color swaps, but you can make meaningful changes to the way your Mii character plays.
