I have to agree with the other reviews on this one. As an MBA student and business owner, this book was rife with excellent information. There were ubiquitous examples of applicable concepts backed with excellent examples. It also gave me a number of ideas on how I could apply its concepts to other areas and in my new business ventures I am looking at. It was a very long read, especially under the time constraints of 8 days I was under (while working full time), but well worth it. Not everyone may find every aspect applicable, but there is enough material here for just about anyone with an interest or application in marketing to glean concepts. There was not a lot of mathmatical statistics types of information, which was great for this type of subject (others have more of this for marketing studies in particular). It touched on most areas of marketing in sufficient depth to help the reader understand and apply the basic concepts in marketing at a graduate level. Specifics would have to be learned or experienced from other sources, but this is an excellent starting point.

I read this book as part of the Aspen University MBA program. From a student perspective, the content is current and the examples are relevant to typical business situations. The structure of the book is logical and the progression is easy to follow. The problems are fun and complete the learning process. From a business owner perspective, I find myself referring often to the book especially when updating marketing plans.

For MBA students, this book is priceless. It is easy to read, concise and fluid. The concepts are easy to understand and the examples provide further understanding and analysis. A keeper for any MBA student for further reference. I wish all of my textbooks were like this one. Authors - take note!
