3.0 out of 5 stars Confused..., Sep 5 2011
By Teri S. - Published on Amazon.com

I was under the impression this was a continuation of the Demon Slayer series, so was very confused until I came back and read these were 3 novellas. The stories are cute though. Would have liked to see more on the first one about HOT!

4.0 out of 5 stars Two Brides and a Model get more than they bargained for in these connected shorts, Sep 11 2011
By melindeeloo - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: So I Married A Demon Slayer (Paperback)
This collection has three devilish little romances, connected to the authors 'once and future' series - I was lucky enough to snag this book as part of a Kindle Bundle along with George's Demon Hunting In Dixie and Love's Demon Can't Help It.

Hot! by Kathy Love, has an aspiring fashion photographer trying to get a break, taking a mail room job at the industry's most successful magazine, and discovering that the fashion business is truly hell - this one has an odd sort of dreary beginning - the glamor of the mail room is everything that you'd imagine - but picks up when the photographer meets a super model whose life is not so super. Both of the pair are truly likeable and the story is much more enjoyable after they hook up, but the ending is so abrupt that, even for a short story, it felt like a chapter or two was lopped off of the ending. Edited to add - Okay, it took me a while to connect the dots, but this looks like a prequel to Love's upcoming Devilishly Hot, so even though this pair aren't the leads in the book, maybe we'll see more of them there.

What Slays in Vegas by Angie Fox, is connected to her Demon Slayer series- even though there is no road kill cuisine - A celibate Demon Slayer gets caught up in the moment with a half succubus at a Vegas club containing a portal to hell - the transition from enemy to lover for the demon slayer is a bit quick but I liked the succubus and her friends. I am a book or so behind on the series and have a feeling that the Demon Slayer might be a side character in Dangerous Book for Demon Slayers, so this one will probably be more fun for fans.

The Bride Wore Demon Dust by Lexi George - set in George's Demon Hunting In Dixie's Hannah Alabama - A bride's new life gets off to a hellacious start, when a demon possessed wedding photographer tries to kill the her and she discovers that her new husband is not human either - this was my favorite of the three shorts. It managed to pack in a fair amount of story and a healthy dose of the offbeat humor that made George's Demon Hunting in Dixie so irreverently fun.

4.0 out of 5 stars three lighthearted paranormal romances, Aug 30 2011
By Harriet Klausner - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: So I Married A Demon Slayer (Paperback)
"Hot!" by Kathy Love. Wannabe photographer Charlie Brown joins the mailroom of At Hot! Magazine with hope to show his work to the professional staff. However, he is unprepared for the dynamics of a demon CEO, a mailroom of undercover demon slaying Feds, and supermodel Ava Wells whose soul belongs to the devil and whose heart belongs to Charlie.

"What Slays In Vegas" by Angie Fox. In Vegas Damien the demon slayer targets the employer of hybrid succubus Shiloh. Instead the slayer and the succubus break a prime taboo when they end up married.

"The Bride Wore Demon Dust" by Lexi George. Sweet Home Alabama native Bunny the librarian is irate when demons controlling guests wreck havoc on her wedding. Her new husband is a slayer, but she is not one to sit idly by while he throws out the unwanted gatecrashers.

These three lighthearted paranormal romances star male demon slayers and the females who possess their hearts. The storylines are emaciated even considering these are novellas, but the lead characters in each entry brings marital bliss to the tales.
