I thought this movie was great. My minister made reference to it in her sermon and I thought it sounded interesting. After watching it, I looked at the special features, finding out it was based on a real person made it even better. It's great for families.

The movie is nothing I would have ever expected. You will laugh and cry and also be overwelmed. Great adoption story and I enjoy watching it over and over. You really get to see into a child thoughts and see how the cope with things that happen to them. No regrets at all

An all time favourite - worth watching on a snowy night by the fire. A science fiction writer saddened by the death of his wife, adopts a little boy who believes he is a Martian. They teach each other about "how to be in this world" while retaining one's own uniqueness. The acting is superb - especially for John Cusack fans (who isn't a John Cusack fan?). Joan Cusack rounds out this perfect little movie.
