MASH is wonderful, the box set is a little less than,

This review is from: M*A*S*H: Martinis and Medicine Collection (The Complete TV Series) (DVD)
I had been purchasing individual seasons like many people, but I wanted the extra features (bloopers etc) that were included in the martinis and medicine collection. There was no indication that these features would be available in any other form. Unfortunately, they finally produced a dvd collection that has the extras on it and the final episode. I believe the dvd is called Mash: Goodbye, Farewell and Amen. I do not see this listed on the canadian Amazon, but it is however available on amazon.com. This might be a better alternative for someone who has already been collecting the series individually.
There were a few problems with the collection. I also had a scratched dvd, so there are a few episodes that won't play for me. With so many dvds in the set, I guess they didn't care too much about quality. Also the dvds themselves are held in cardboard slots and they often fall through and out the bottom of the set.

Scratched Discs still exist,

Those who enjoy MASH will love this boxed set. The series is a definite 5-star product. However, as mentioned by many reviewers below, the set still is hampered by low manufacturing value. The paper sleeve holders appear to have a tendancy to scratch the discs. A few of the discs were lightly scratched but still readable. My Season 8 Disc 1 had a deep scratch that rendered three of the episodes unreadable. Any attempt to contact Fox for replacement failed (actually, ignored). So here's the fix: grab a dab of non-gel toothpaste on tip of finger, rub a couple times from edge to center (not circular), rinse under tap, and dry with lint free towel (again, edge to center). Scratch is micro-abrasioned/polished away and disc plays. If this is your first time trying this, practice on a CD/DVD you no longer want.

I love it but...,

I love this collection; I think MASH is one of the best shows that has ever been broadcast, and the box set itself is wonderfully laid out.
However, the second disc of season two does not work (is not scratched, and has never played for me in any player), and I cannot find anyone - where I bought it, or at Fox - that is willing to do something about this. Customer support is non-existent, and for a collection of this size and value I would have thought someone could have helped me out. I was very excited when I got this collection, but now I am disappointed with it.
