Morningstar entertainment has released a few of these early MARVEL comics cartoons. If you close your eyes on the weak production, it is a trip down memory lane.The animation is primitive. It is more of a slide show with some facial expressions and limited body movement. The voices are OK, but nothing more than that. Nowadays kids will not appreciate the BOOM, KABLAMM and SWOOSH, the same way we did ... more than 35 years ago. The re-packaging of the DVD is pathetic. You get no chapters, no adders, and no languages selection... A simple transfer to DVD from another source... What you will get : one half hour episode of an early Thor cartoon and a lesser-seen Spider-man episode from the 60s. So, why did I buy it, the minute Amazon.ca had stock ???? To turn back the clock several decades and escape today's stress with a simple hour of fun. This is probably the greatest Thor story ever written. I saw it 10 times and read it 100 times (it was published in a Thor Giant Size issue). A true classic.... Too bad, they only give you Part I. When I heard the opening notes of the Thor them song, I, immediately, remembered why, as a kid, nothing could stop me from rushing home to watch Thor, Hulk, Iron man and others... It was like someone was reading me a super-hero story to you with picture to support the whole thing. Mega-flashbacks... 15 $ is a bit too much money to ask for this thin production. Villains gift set and Heroes gift set are a better buy. The double-feature would have been much better is it would stack two Thor episodes (even a Thor and another hero) from the same serie. I still recommend it to a collector and to super-hero lovers that were born in the early 60s or late 50s.
